Mychal Kendricks (OLB) of Hoover High has committed to CAL. Fresno State loses another great valley athlete to the prestigious PAC-10 conference. Hendricks becomes the second valley player to commit to CAL (Beau Sweeney QB-Clovis West). Many recruiting experts are saying Fresno State is having a great recruiting class thus far, but they still can't seem to keep the best valley athletes home. Hendricks is the first linebacker to commit to the Golden Bears.

It's Kendricks, not Hendricks.
He committed almost two months ago, but had FS along with UO in his top three in June, when FS first offered him.
He was acutally hurt by the fact FS was not the first school to offer him. He was unknown until earning Stanford Nike Camp LB MVP honors on May 15. He picked up 6 offers on and after the 15th, but FS did not offer unitl he attended their individual camp in early June.
I apologize for the error in typing. I was aware that his name is Kendricks not Hendricks. As far as being hurt by Fresno State not offering, the policy with Pat Hill is he doesn't offer a scholarship until viewing your senior year film. That is the reason Travis Brown has yet to receive an offer from Coach Hill. I wish he would change his ways especially with all the other schools offering scholarships to junior and even sophomores. Kendricks will be a good player.
